So, I had written a post about the Hawaii missile warning message: https://steemit.com/funny/@branniganslaw/hawaii-missile-warning
It turns out the operator thought there was a real missile incoming: https://steemit.com/funny/@branniganslaw/hawaii-missile-warning
So it was not in fact a case of a mistake being made due to a bad UI, instead it was a worker that was less than reliable. This doesn't mean that we shouldn't design a good UI, but it does reinforce that the user is also important.
