Don't join them, just buy them out.
This is a trend that will gain momentum.
Banks are leveraged to the hilt, deposits are loaned out multiple times over.
If a banks share price drops then that institution has no real value.
With enough money in the crypto world, buying up the banks is a great idea.
They come with all the regulatory licences etc.
Just need the new owners to support an additional 'product', ie crypto<=>fiat exchange
