Just watched the movie.
On the surface I found it boring & weak as far as movie plots go.
But with 45mm views on Netflix, I got to thinking why.
On reflection my 'takeaways' from movie are it is just messaging.
"Don't look at the LIGHT or you will die"
"Only crazy/psycho people can look at the LIGHT"
"paddle downstream blindfolded & a sanctuary will be found, among the blind people"
"children don't need names" (boy girl is what she called her kids) - no christening?
"if you look at the LIGHT you will kill yourself"
sort of satanic/biblical messaging? what else from hollywierd.
