Identity is the knowledge of who one is.
When a man lives his life without a knowledge of who He is , abuse is inevitable.
65% of persons on earth live their lives without a single knowledge of who they are. Which is just fatal!
The easiest way to know WHO YOU ARE? Is to know where you are coming from (ORIGIN)
Genesis:1.27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
This truth surpasses all lies (BIG BANG THEORY, EVOLUTION etc)
But man lost God's Nature
Genesis:2.16
And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden;
Genesis:2.17
but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."
After Adam ate of the tree. He lost the God nature and there was an immediate transfer of dominion.
The God news is God had a back up plan (Jesus). Someone might ask why did God keep the tree there at first? God created man not a robot, he gave man a will and he will not impose his will on any man. He wants man to be disciplined to the point of Trust and Obedience.
JESUS our second Adam & The Sacrifice for Man's Redemption
1 Corinthians:15.21
For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.
1 Corinthians:15.22
For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
Believing God's plan for man's redemption bring salvation. For you to believe that God is not a LIAR , that he sent HIS son to die as a substitute for you and I. Salvation brings back the God nature that was lost during Adam time.
What next, What of my past?
°If you believe and confess you are a new creature.
2 Corinthians:5.17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
°He has wiped off all record of you.
Colossians:2.14
having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.
°Satan your defeated adversary will bring repeated thoughts of condemnation about your past sin but see God's opinion:
Hebrews:8.12
For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."
°So this is what God expects you to do those thought
2 Corinthians:10.5
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
THIS BRINGS THE KNOWLEDGE OF WHO YOU ARE

Colossians:1.13
For HE has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son HE loves.
