'There is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother' , these were the words of King Solomon. It gives a picture of what true friendship should look like.
A friend is someone who loves you for who you are, gives you total freedom to be yourself. In the presence of a true friend there is no room pretence.
Establishing True Friendship
1' Choose your friends: Always choose your friend, the friend you choose is the experience you bargain for. Proverbs 18:24 A man of many companions may come to ruin. Choose friends based on love, vision, potentials.
2.Proximity : Most times proximity equals connectivity, the more you give your time the more the bonding in so doing a good relationship is been established. Proverbs 27:10 Better is a neighbor that is near than a far away brother. Choose your friends from around you .
3.Boundaries: Let me drive home a point here, learn how to keep to boundaries. Boundaries is not about secrecy it's about privacy. A friend should be able to respect your privacy. I love my friends because they know when am not in the mood to talk and they respect it. I also do the same for them, that doesn't mean I don't love them. It's about BOUNDARIES.
- Mutuality: It's not a one way thing. It is about sharing things in common and also managing the differences. Each person benefits.

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of one's friend springs from his earnest counsel.
5'.Realness: Their is just no room for pretence. A friend is one who tells you the truth even when it hurts to hear. A friend wants to see you grow. A friend has a heart of gold.
- Easily Forgive: There is no real friendship without misunderstanding or arguments. I remember having an issue with my closet friend, I never believe we would ever quarrel in this life. But the sweet thing is that, for the good times and the good memories we had, we just could not stay long arguing because LOVE was the binding factor.
7.Consistency: A friend love is always consistent, Proverbs:17.17
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
