I love repeating myself like interest incurring on a saving account. I love it when it seems like everything in the online world comes together. I have said many times this is all about community, and what a great community we are building. But I believe we are only starting yet, this is just the tip of the iceberg. So it is great to have you all along from the ride.
The reason I used this graphic today is because I am going to touch on a few things about making some money here on Hive, and other places. So let me get started.
As we all should know the key to making good money as an author on Hive are upvotes. You can do that either by content that is so fantastic and reaches such a large reach that everyone wants to upvote you. I personally want to thank 
That leads me into curation again. Getting paid for upvoting other peoples posts. And that is where a curation trail helps. Now I know there are different views of whether people should by using auto up voting or manually doing everything. I personally like to strike a balance. I have set up auto voting, I have set up a curation trail but I still look for content that really appeals to me and manually upvote it. A balanced approach is my way of doing things.
Being part of communities here on Hive. It joins you with like minded people. CTP Talk with somewhere around 2000 members. The new kid on the block, the I Am Alive Challenge community with around 30. Like minded people, that will hopefully read, comment and upvote you daily blog posts. All "Awesome Sauce"!
This brings me to the 29 people that have joined so far, not including myself.
Jumping around a bit this morning but staying with the same theme. 
Content Creation - That is the number priority for me. Doing my blog everyday, doing my video blog everyday. Engaging with people. And hoping they like it enough to upvote me.
Curation - This is coming along nicely for me. Between manual and auto up voting. Most days my curation earnings are more than my content creation earnings. Unless Whales show up and bump my posts! Love when that happens :)
Staking (Powering up) - Oh this is a big one. You need to have HP (Hive Power). The more you have the more you can earn. I try and putting all my earnings into HP. But. The but is coming.
DLease - Jon covers how it is leasing out HP and earning from it. I am working towards that one day but right now I do the opposite. I lease from DLease. I do this to boost my HP so that I can give bigger upvotes to people. I am around 740 HP myself but I got over 9,000 leased. It is the difference between a 2 cent upvote and a 20 cent upvote.
Delegation - Then maybe one day I can get there :)
The take away here is that you can grow your Hive money tree over time. But it takes time and showing up everyday.
