I was flipping through the channels the other day looking for something mindless to watch while I was winding down from a long day.
You know how there are those movies or shows that you just need to stop on when you see them? The Office, Gladiator, Gone in 60 Seconds, iRobot are just a few of mine. It doesn't matter how many times I have seen them they are just timeless and I can watch them again and again.
Road House starting Patrick Swayze happens to be one of those movies. It is definitely your typical 80's movie. Action, ladies, cars, music, you know, all the good stuff.
Anyway, part of what I love about Road House are some of the quotes from the movie. It has some pretty awesome lines and I just happened to land right at the beginning of one of the best scenes the other night as I was channel surfing.

In case you are not familiar with the movie, Patrick Swayze plays Dalton, he works in bars as a "cooler". Basically, he managers the bouncers and all of the business that happens at the bar.
In the movie he gets hired by a guy who has purchased a Road House with a very rough reputation. The owner wants him to come in and clean the place up.
Through the course of the movie he butts heads with a wealthy local man who is running a protection racket in the town. He is basically a really bad guy trying to keep the whole town under his thumb.
As expected, he sets his sights on Dalton and drama ensues. It really is a pretty great movie, if you haven't had a chance to check it out, you totally should.
