My friend told me something his dad told him a long time ago. He said you aren't necessarily going to find better, just different. It's something that I have always remember. I hate asking people for money as well. Even when I do a job for them I still feel a bit selfish or greedy. Turns out most the time they are more than happy to pay. It would just be so much easier if they approached you first though!
