Splinterlands Art Contest! // Week 173// Cocatrice

Hello everyone BossDebie here but you can call me @bossdebz, this is my first post here in hive, and for this post I illustrated @splinterlands Cocatrice a cute and agile creature. I used to use this in little one as a anti-sneak in game battle, and it's effective because of it's skills which are "Flying & Dodge. I hope you enjoy viewing and reading my post.

FYI this is a full illustrator work, victors only.

Process:

Okey lets start, so I've been practicing illustrator since I found out how good and accurate this application when it comes to tracing images. So firstly I traced Cocatrice comb.

Next is his face, beak and wattles I also pick magenta for stroke color.

Filling colors and adding his tongue.

Next is the hackles,

Next is his breast, I had a feeling I wan't to eat some chicken after this...

Favorite part, WINGS!!!!!

Next is his wings span and right leg.
⬇️

Lastly, tail and toes with claws.
⬇️

On this part I changed some of his colors according to its original design.

Starting to give him shadows!

Giving shadows fully completed.

Adding highlights,

I choose to add dark background and yellow moon,

Almost done but wait, I forgot the highlights for his claws.
