Wow, I was already thinking he would forget about this promise during the campaign. It didn‘t technically happen „on Day 1“ but well, I guess that is a minor detail. Maybe he even wanted it to be the 21st. Anyways, Ross Ulbricht is free and out of prison. Trump signed a full pardon and called his mother. The Bitcoin Community is celebrating it as a victory of freedom.
I myself am happy for his family and also for him but running that dark web drug ecommerce is nothing I would be proud of at all, no matter what intentions one had. On the other hand I think a decade in prison for a first-time offender, convicted at such a young age is a high enough price he paid.
What do you think about this breaking development?
PS: Btw, what kind of plant is he carrying there? Did he grow a little tree during the last weeks in prison from a seed he found? Is that maybe a hint he still has a seed phrase for a undiscovered Bitcoin wallet with some funds in it? Ok, I‘m getting carried away here a bit. Sorry. 🫣😅
