Some days the schedule looks like a spreadsheet had a nervous breakdown. Meetings. Doctor appointment. More meetings. So I did what any reasonable person does. I escaped twice. First walk, the canal looked

Some mornings start with dramatic music. Others start with fog so thick it feels like the weather forgot to wake up. The first walk today looked exactly like that. The sun was technically present, somewhere

Two walks today. Same sun, completely different missions. The photos are all from my solo 5km photowalk. Canal light flashing like it’s trying to win awards, lock gates and steel lines cutting through

Another week, another Slothly Savers update! And, well… pretty much more of the same, in the best possible way given the circumstances. Where things stand This week hasn’t been anything dramatic on paper,

Pulled off two walks today. Nothing heroic. Just the routine split in two because recovery apparently prefers installments. The canal was pure gray mood. The drawbridge in the first shot was lifted halfway,

Today’s walk came with full cinematic gloom. The first shot, that long brick wall and skeletal trees, looks like the backdrop to a serious life decision. The sun is technically there, but barely committing.

Today was less “athlete in motion” and more “project manager with wet socks.” The morning started with the standard eight hours of work. Nothing glamorous, just the daily grind that pays for physiotherapist

One walk today. Sun flaring over the canal like it knew we had birthdays to celebrate. Trees still bare, water restless, snowdrops already pushing through like impatient overachievers. Spring is clearly

Today’s forecast said “pick a struggle.” I picked all of them. Photo one, ground level puddle stretching into the distance like a moody runway. Sky the color of unfinished business. Photo two, a yellow

TLDR: recovery is progressing, walking distance is back to normal, speed still needs work. Job hunt continues. House is being reorganized for wheelchair life. Hive growth is modest but steady. It’s not

Recovery is supposed to be slow. Careful. Responsible. The kind of word doctors say with a calm voice and a clipboard in hand. Yesterday I hit 5 kilometers again after surgery. A small, respectable milestone.

Today was not a perfectly optimized masterpiece. It was one of those days that eats your calendar and leaves you negotiating with the clock. By the time I got out, it was after 4pm and the sky looked

Today was one of those “why do I live here” weather days. The sky was heavy, the canal looked like brushed steel, and the trees were standing around completely naked, no shame, no leaves, just vibes. And

TLDR: small gains again this week. Recovery is still the main job. Real job hunt is the second job. Hive is running in slow mode, but it’s running. Walking is slowly coming back. Health first, stacking

Normally Tuesdays mean office chairs, stacked meetings, and a step count that barely qualifies as movement. I skipped the office for recovery, which apparently just freed up space for more chaos. Work

Three photos, one aggressively grey sky, and more steps than yesterday. That’s the whole story, no director’s cut needed. The weather toned it down today, flat clouds, zero drama, like the sky hit snooze

Normally I chew through ten thousand before lunch, barely noticing, like some kind of background process running while life happens. Today, five thousand felt suspiciously ceremonial. Not because it’s

TLDR: I missed a week, life punched hard on multiple fronts, surgery slowed me down big time, Hive went into “maintenance mode”… but the system held. Progress didn’t stop, it just limped. Now it’s time
