TLDR: week 2 update, progress is still there, even if my attention hasn’t been. Life has been busy, Hive a bit more in the background, but the system keeps ticking along.
I almost didn’t write a Saturday Savers post this week.
Not because nothing happened, but because life very clearly happened elsewhere.
The past weeks have been busy in a very non-Hive way. We’ve been adjusting a lot at home to better support our handicapped daughter. That comes with practical changes, emotional bandwidth, and a constant rethinking of how daily life works. It’s important work, but it definitely pulls focus away from spreadsheets and dashboards.
On top of that, things have been intense on a professional level as well. And that’s not going to calm down anytime soon. By this summer, I’ll need to actively start looking for a new job, because as much as I’d love to say otherwise, current Hive prices are still not quite at the level where I can comfortably live off my Hive earnings alone 😉
So yes, Hive has been slightly more in the background lately. But interestingly enough… the system didn’t care.
Compared to last week:
Hive Power went from 16,100 → 16,391
Weekly HP target: 269
Weekly HP achieved: 291
Nothing flashy. Just quietly better than planned.
HBD moved a little:
Second layer kept doing its slow thing:
DUO: 1,127 → 1,129
BBHO: 12,264 → 12,338
BEE: 716 → 717
No dopamine hits here. Just steady forward motion while my attention was mostly elsewhere.
These are exactly the weeks that feel skippable. No milestones, no big decisions, no urgency. And in my experience, that’s where consistency is either reinforced or slowly abandoned.
In my opinion, this is the real test of any long-term plan: does it still work when you’re not obsessing over it every day?
So far, the answer is yes.
No strategy changes this week. No new shiny objects. Just a quiet confirmation that the setup keeps delivering even when Hive isn’t my main priority.
Life first. Systems second. Numbers still moving.
Onwards. And as always, still Upwards, Whalewards!
