A couple of days ago I spent some time sniffing around a small oak tree whose lower branches were practically touching the ground so I was able to explore what was going on among the leaves.
A bush - cricket was the first insect that I encountered there.
I'm not sure about the species. It looks a lot like a Eupholidoptera schmidti. But also slightly different at the same time. The difference could be because, while pretty big, the insect is not an adult yet.
The genus is definitively Eupholidoptera. The family - Tettigoniidae.
Not far from there, on another leaf of the same tree ...
... I found a well-camouflaged Tettigoniidae species.
This could be the nymph of the Leptophyes laticauda, but just like before, I'm not sure about the species.
In this wider shot, you can see the entire tree that grew on the edge of the meadow.
Here you can take a more up-close look at the leaves lit by the warm light of the late afternoon.
This is the third insect I encountered on the tree.
The small fly looks like something from the Drosophilidae family. But in this post, there isn't much that I can clearly define.
Not far from the fly, I found this silky construction that is still a complete mystery to me.
