SUMMER IN MARLERA

Here you can take a wide look at the scenery. A fragment of a rainbow was visible in the sky on the afternoon of the 20th of August 2015, when this opening photograph was taken.

Here you can see a ladybug inside the wild carrot's composite flower. Hippodamia variegata is the name of this ladybug species.

This photograph was taken very early in the morning. Before the sunrise. When the air is still fresh and humid.

I was sitting in the middle of a recently plowed field.

And I was playing with the dry soil because the flying dust can look pretty cool in the photograph.

This fly from the Syrphidae family, can't tell you the exact species, was photographed on a wild carrot (Daucus carota) flower.

This is a friend from Belgrade. Haven't seen him since that summer.

Here you can see one of the most common crickets in this area. This is the Schmidt's marbled bush cricket (Eupholidoptera schmidti)

Here you can take a look at the fields. You can also see a fragment of the old lighthouse and the distant island across the bay.

This bird silhouette was photographed on the evening of the 10th of July 2015. That day ended soon after the photograph was taken, and this post ends here. Good night.

Marlera is the name of a loosely defined coastal area a couple of kilometers from the village of Liznjan and five or six kilometers from Medulin, my hometown. The photographs in this post were taken there, during the summer of 2015.
