... It happened at the end of July ... this year ...
... I was drinking beer and working on some illustration the whole night ... a very hot and suffocating summer night ...
... and then at dawn ...
... I went out ... in the garden ... to take a breath or two of relatively fresh air which appears for a short time in the early morning even on the hottest summer days ...
... and there, I mean on the outside, on the facade of my house ... I found a brand new cicada who just came out of her larval skin ...
... a little black cat called Miaucula, one of my many cats was watching the scene with all her cat's concentration ...
... and just a moment before Miaucula was ready to jump ...
... I took the cicada and put her on the nearby plum tree ...
... and there ...
... while the young cicada was resting ...
... I could take a good look at her beautiful wings ...
... in the soft morning light ...
... and take a few shots of this cool little detail - a droplet on the transparent, sophisticated wing structure ...
... at one point another of my cats, the one called Palchich ... which means Thumbling ... came on the tree ... but fortunately didn't notice the cicada ... and here is a little Dtube video about this part of the story ...
... a fresh new cicada on the plum tree in my garden... just came out of the larval phase ...
... and so I watched the beautiful insect for a couple of minutes more ...
... took this final shot ...
... and returned back to the house ...made some coffee ... and continued the day... went to the beach ... but that's another story... this one ends here ... THE END.
