I had stuff to do in the city today ... so I did some stuff there ... and then ...
... on the way back home, I decided to make a stop just after the last suburban houses and take a little walk under the pine trees ... I didn't have shadows in mind when I got out of the car, but very soon the shadows entered my focus and I became a shadow hunter on that walk ...
... while passing by this pine trunk by the road ...
... I felt inspired to use my hands and create a shadowy butterfly for some future Shadow Hunters post ... when I took some shots, and felt that one of those photographs will be good enough ... when I stood up ready to leave ...
... a real butterfly with an authentic butterfly shadow landed on the trunk ...
... and looked like a pretty cool addition to the woodland graffiti ...
... this is the Red admiral (Vanessa atalanta) that appears even when the weather isn't warm ... like in these days ... they can be seen even in winter, sometimes. After this close butterfly encounter of the 2,5 kind ...
... I continued walking ... carefully ...
... along the little road covered with line - art of shadows ...
... here you can take a look at the surrounding trees, to get a better idea of the place ... and on the following shot ...
... it's a red colored detail that has nothing to do with shadows, but it looked good on photograph ... some mysterious direction sign with nothing written to help decipher its meaning ...
... on the walk back to the car, while passing by the same horizontal trunk, I photographed a few more hand - made shadows ... this one ...
... and the closing one, that waves goodbye to all readers of this post ... as always in these shadow - walks on HIVE, the photographs are my work.
