It was raining in the morning, and then at ten AM when it stopped ...

... I drove to the small grocery store on one of the streets in between my neighborhood and the sea. I met some friends there, and since the weather was nicely warm but also kinda fresh at the same time, I said: "Let's take a walk. I mean, let's drive to some cool place where we can take a walk. "

So we drove eight or nine kilometers ...

... and parked a kilometer or two from the village of Premantura.

The rain left muddy puddles by the side of the gravel road ...

img_6540_samomalo.jpg

... and plenty of droplets on the roadside vegetation ...

img_6541_malo.jpg

... so I mounted the macro lens to take a better look at the small plants and pearls that can be really admired only when magnified.

While photographing these flowers of some plant that I wasn't able to identify ...

img_6545_samomalo.jpg

... I noticed a minuscule gnat on one of the closed buds near the fully developed flower. Gnat is a generic name that encompasses many species of small, mosquito-like flies.

Here I'm approaching a relatively large puddle, a bit further down the road. In the following photograph ...

Here you can see a few more puddles on the road.

A bit later, I came across a multitude of lovely yellow flowers ...

... of the Hippocrepis emerus plant.

img_6565_malo.jpg

The small Celastrina argiolus butterfly was flying around and feeding on nectar.

After taking a couple of photographs, I passed the colorful shrubs ...

... and soon reached the place with a nice view of the shallow bay in between villages Pomer and Premantura.

img_6568_malo.jpg

From here I could easily photograph parts of the landscape ...

img_6570_samomalo.jpg

... that I usually see from a different, more down-to-earth perspective. This time I felt a bit like a drone able to take shots that resemble those adverts in the brochures for tourists.

The indented coastline has many cool shapes to offer.

img_6577_malo.jpg

Here you can see an interesting group of poles. I'm not sure about their function.

img_6573_malo.jpg

After fifteen minutes or so of admiring the landscape ...

img_6578_malo.jpg

... we all walked back to the car. On our way there, we stopped by a series of large puddles on the road.

Powered by the springtime sun and the overall atmosphere, a friend started jumping around ...

... and I took a series of shots that ended up in this GIF.

The surface of the puddle ...

... especially along the edges ...

... was covered with pollen fallen from the pines.

AND THAT'S IT. AS ALWAYS IN THESE POSTS ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK - THE END.
