Here's a little something I wrote as a prompt to a challenge on Twitter
The eyes capture moments,
Tears fall from the eyes in atonement,
Tears from a lover is always potent.
What if David hadn't seen Bathsheba,
What if he had run away as fast as a cheetah?
Maybe Uriah will never have been killed for his diva.
The eye is the light of the body,
It sees me, you and everybody,
But can it really see what we embody?
The eye is the window of the soul,
No one will be willing to lose it, says the poll,
But can a part be greater than the whole?
