WE escaped the building by lowering a ladder and found a workbench to upgrade my crossbow with a scope. We emerged to find the Seraphite village ablaze. Navigating the crossfire between WLF soldiers and cultists, I cleared a path before securing a horse for a rapid escape.
We initiated our search for an exit route to leave the immediate area now that the initial threats had subsided. I stepped forward and forced open a heavy door to access the next hallway, hoping it would lead us further away from the danger zone.
The main path forward was completely blocked by heavy debris, making it impossible to advance normally. I called for assistance from Lev, who climbed up into an opening and lowered a nearby ladder down so I could scale the wall.
Lev located an open window leading into an adjacent room after we reached the upper floor. Once inside, I discovered a functional workbench and immediately utilized it to attach a powerful scope to my crossbow, a modifications that would serve as a major game changer.
We pushed forward toward the exterior of the structure to plot our escape. As we finally neared the exit of the building, we looked out into the distance and noticed that the entire Seraphite village was completely engulfed in a massive fire.
We advanced into the chaotic environment and encountered a group of WLF soldiers engaged in a fierce firefight with Seraphite warriors. I used the newly attached 4x scope on my crossbow to eliminate several targets from a distance before moving in to reclaim the intact arrows from the bodies.
I navigated further into the ruins and encountered an even larger gathering of Seraphites who were locked in combat. Rather than waiting for the opposing factions to eliminate one another, I took the initiative and targeted several of them using my crossbow
One of the WLF spotted my position while I was discharging my weapon and advanced directly toward my cover to investigate. I engaged him in a brutal melee struggle the moment he arrived, utilizing my large axe to take him down quickly.
There were a few remaining WLF soldiers who were actively tracking my position. After of seeking cover to hide from their search party, I turned the tables on the squads and began hunting them down.
Lev located a stranded horse that belonged to a Seraphite, once the immediate threats were neutralized. We decided to mount the animal immediately to accelerate our escape from the area, shooting some Seraphites along the path.
We rode at top speed toward the burning settlement of Haven, navigating through the intense heat and falling embers. Multiple groups of Seraphites and WLF soldiers attempted to intercept our escape, but our momentum left us entirely unstoppable as we broke through their lines.
We'll check what happens next in another post.
