Ellie found Abby and Lev tied to pillars, and she cut them down instead of killing them. After guiding them to boats on the beach, Ellie remembered Joel's bloodied face. Driven by grief, she threatened Lev to force a Abby into a final, brutal fight in the ocean waves.
The Rattlers had treated Abby horribly, leaving her severely emaciated and stripped of her former strength. Ellie moved toward her, but she was not taking her down. She was cutting her free instead.
It was shocking to see Abby in such a diminished state, to the point where she was barely recognizable at first glance.
Lev was right beside her, somehow still alive as well. It turned out that the prisoners left in this place had not died yet. Just as expected, Ellie had come to Santa Barbara intending to kill Abby, but ended up saving her instead.
Abby softly mentioned that there were boats further down that way, giving us a direction to head toward so we could leave the area.
It looked as though Abby and Lev were the only two left alive from this group.
The prisoners who had previously attempted to escape were left tied up on the pillars to die as punishment. Because Abby had tried to escape as well, she was subjected to the same fate.
Fortunately, neither she nor Lev had passed away by the time Ellie found them.
We reached the beach where several motorboats were resting along the shore. It was a good thing they were powered by engines, as neither Abby nor Lev was in any physical condition to row a boat across the open ocean.
Abby carefully placed the unconscious Lev inside one of the vessels. Ellie walked over toward a different boat nearby rather than joining them.
As Ellie looked down at her own bleeding wounds, the sight of her blood triggered a sudden memory of Joel's face covered in blood stains during his final moments.
Driven by the memory, Ellie turned back toward Abby, who was preparing to push her boat out into the water. Ellie stated plainly that she could not let Abby walk away alive. Abby refused, stating that she was not going to fight her.
Desperate to settle the score, Ellie grabbed Abby and threw her down into the ocean water. Abby pleaded with her again, repeating that she would not fight.
Ellie then drew her knife and threatened to slit Lev's throat if Abby refused to engage. Abby argued that Lev was not a part of their conflict, but Ellie countered that Abby had made him a part of it.
Left with no choice to protect Lev, Abby stood up in the shallow water and prepared to fight. So, the other time I overpowered Ellie playing as Abby and this time I'm playing as Ellie to fight Abby.
