Imagine you were In a room with no flicker of light such that you'd have to feel your way to move around; you knock things over and may even hurt yourself as you attempt to find your way in the pitch darkness. Too many people are completely drowned in the pervading darkness of this world; these are spiritual hobos, moving aimlessly as they grope through life void of direction and purpose. Sadly, this is the story of many lives.
The reason many people fall by the wayside of life is that they don't have the light to do through the darkness of life and there was no light for them to navigate when they fell. As a result, they plunged themselves deeper into darkness. Fear, confusion, poverty, disease, and death are all forms of darkness. They all originate from the same source, the devil, who himself is darkness.
But it doesn't have to be so. Do you know that you can bring order and illumination into your life? The Bible let's us know that the life in Jesus is the light of all men. In other words, the solution to all of man's problems is Jesus .He is the true light which lights up every man that comes into the world (John 1:9). That's the light by which you must live, else you'll forever grope in darkness and be overwhelmed by the challenges of life.
Light also symbolises hope;thats why the only hope man has for a better future in this harsh, cruel and dark world is the lord Jesus . He is mans only hope for a glorious, prosperous, joyous and peaceful life. He's the light that shines in darkness.. And according to the Bible, "the darkness comprehended it not".in other words, the light overcame the darkness. Darkness stands for anything that hurts, binds or contributes to making life unpleasant and unbearable for man
The cure for all these, is Jesus -the light of all men that shines in the darkness.
