I have also included a quick guide of some information that you will need before you play the free Mode and some of the benefits of unlocking your SPELLBOOK.

You are responsible for determining the taxes that apply to Splinterland’s related transactions
Quick Note:
Splinterlands Cards and items exist only by virtue of the ownership record maintained on the App’s supporting blockchain in the Hive network. Any transfer of Splinterlands Cards occur within the supporting blockchain in the Hive network, and not on the App.
You must be 13 years or older however if you’re under the age of 18 You will need a parent or guardian to review the terms and Conditions. You agree to have your parent or guardian review and accept the terms on your behalf In which you then they (parent or guardian) agree to accept full responsibility for the child’s use of the Game including all financial charges and legal liability that he or she may incur.
These content standards apply to any and all contributions and use by you to the App or Site. Your use and contributions must in their entirety comply with all applicable federal, state, local, and international laws and regulations. Without limiting the foregoing.
You agree you will not disparage or criticize the Company or its Affiliates, or their respective businesses, management, directors, business practices, or equity holders (the “Company Entities”) and that you will not otherwise do or say anything that could disrupt the good morale, or otherwise harm the interests or reputations, of the Company Entities and we agree we will not publicly disparage or criticize you.

To ensure competitive play between humans, splinterlands has created the following three different formats where creators and/or operators of bots and/or battle helpers are NOT allowed. This includes battle helpers, bots, plugins, browser extensions, or any tools that analyze, or faciliate analysis of, a currently active battle, whether automated or manual.
NO BOTS OR BATTLE HELPERS IN THE FOLLOWING FORMATS:
Community engagement:
Proposals Submitted & Passed through the community SPS stakeholders.
Keywords:
(Bots – automation services or tools that interact with Splinterlands APIs during active battles)
(Battle Helpers - Third party tools and/or services in selecting cards or making other decisions in any way during an active battle.
Disciplinary action:
Accounts that are determined or suspected of violating the Fair Play Policy in any of the formats in which it applies are subject to being banned from playing in certain battle formats and/or being banned from the use of the Splinterlands.com website, mobile app, and other services provided by the Steem Monsters Corporation.
After you have read and accepted the terms and conditions now you're ready to create an account in the Splinterlands Website. You will need to have the the following items ready:
USERNAME - unique name
Register with email address & create a login password
Referral account - Splinterlands member In Game Name (not yourself)
Welcome NEW Splinterlands Member now you can:
** Note: You must have a rank of Bronze 3 or higher to earn SPS and Glint. You will not earn any SPS or Glint if you play with only starter cards.
