This one came as a shocker. I used to be an instructor and one of my students quit not too long after he graduated from my class. I don't know if he took action after eaves dropping from me or if he had done it on his own, but this is how it went down...

I found out a couple years later that one of my former students called in one day. He told his boss, "I don't think I want to work any more." His boss said, "If you're not feeling well, that's ok. Take a day off and let me know how you feel tomorrow." Totally reasonable, right? The worker said, "No, I mean, I don't think I want to work for the company any more..."
The boss, again was reasonable..."You know what, we all go through some hard times and life can get overwhelming sometimes. Why don't you take a few days off, you've got some vacation. Take a few days to just relax and get centered again." You gotta love this boss! He did great!
The worker said, "That's fine, I'll take the vacation, but I don't think I'm going to come back to work. I'm done."
Now, the way he quit may not be so epic, but the reason he quit kinda is...
Later that same morning, the boss met with some of the other workers. They said, "Hey, did you hear about so-and-so?!" The boss said, "What are you talking about?" The other worker said...
"So-and-so quit because he became a dogecoin millionaire!!!"
What?!
"Yeah, he became a dogecoin millionaire. He bought millions of the cryptocurrency dogecoin back when it was fractions of a penny and he checked his account just yesterday and saw he's worth over $2M!"

Holy Cow! Apparently, this former student of mine had bought a few thousand dollars' worth of dogecoin and just held onto it. Looking back, I had purchased around 100,000 coins at my highest and had mined some of it...but I sold all mine when it hit around $0.06-0.07 earlier this year, thinking that was a huge gain...I sold about 2 weeks too early. Selling at $0.69-$0.72 at the SNL skit would have netted me a cool $60K ish...instead, I got to sell it and buy some Hive at $0.40 馃構
Fun way to quit!..."I don't think I want to work anymore" hahaha
