Hello Steemit!
It's been awesome digesting and producing content for this site over the last few weeks. You may have noticed that I've gone silent recently.
Sorry for leaving you hanging - I've been traveling, and my connection has been spotty!
I plan on posting more about this once I get back to my home country on Monday (I've got a post lined up about cybersecurity while on vacation), but for now I'll leave you with one observation:
Whenever I travel, I try to stay on the lookout for some interesting graffiti. Most large cities in Europe and Canada that I've been to have some very talented graffiti artists.
I believe that graffiti reflects a part of the community that isn't always visible on the surface. Although I don't like the idea of having my property sprayed down, I feel like some graffiti artists have the ability to improve the look of an area with some really nice, well thought out art. Of course, there are also jerks that just want to write their name all over everything, which I find to be unoriginal and uninspired.
Here's a recent piece I ran across on a damaged building in Italy. What does it make you think?
