Before the Christchurch Earthquake, I was in the tower that you can't see in this picture
You had to climb a very narrow spiral stone staircase to get up to the top, which had an awesome view to Cathedral Square, which was a speakers corner, popular all year round with locals and tourists.
So I wrote the song in the video below to remember those who died and those who still suffer from PTSD after the experience of seeing their city get flattened. Months after the earthquake I remember still seeing people who were scared to go to meetings inside buildings. I remember one woman bursting into tears outside a council building that we were about to go into. I had friends who left the city afterwards because they couldn't handle the 'what if it happened again?'
