Every year our family has a horseshoe throwing competition on Boxing Day, the day after Christmas Day. The competition starts about 1PM and goes till late. There are usually about 15 teams of two people and the day involves a lot of banter, drinks and fun.
We have a trophy made out of a wooden toilet seat and the winning team get their names engraved on it. This competition has been going for more than 30 years and is something we all look forward to, mostly just as a chance for family and friends to catch up.
