The seventh day is for rest, for family, for walking, for art and culture. To forget work. Unfortunately, this is not the case for everyone, some are forced to work on this day as well.
The seventh day is Saturday because Sunday is the first day of the week. I saw it was a controversy. Because most people have Sunday as a day of rest. The Jews consider Saturday a day of rest, Christians celebrate it on Sunday. Some have the steering wheel on the right, others on the left ... There is always something to separate us.
In my youth, in the last century, only Sunday was a day off from work. Then it was the same on Saturday. So, at least from the point of view of the job, being free both days, the-above mentioned controversy no longer makes sense (in a way).
For me, it should be even simpler, because I don't work anymore. It's not like that, now I'm busier than when I went to the office. Sometimes I work every day of the week, however, Sunday remained, for the most part, for relaxation, more enjoyable activities, and walking.
Some relax by shopping (my wife!). We try to combine the useful with the pleasant. We live on the outskirts of the city, so it's only about two kilometers from a large shopping center outside the city. Very good for walking.
A walk that reminded me how wonderful nature is!
May is my favorite spring month. Because it is not very hot yet but also because winter storms are no longer possible. Mainly because the flowers are strong, they are in full bloom. Especially when this month is rainy, everything that is green explodes. Between the last street in the neighborhood and the shopping complex is a field strip, about a hundred meters wide, where grass and wildflowers have taken over everything.
The red poppies, the most fragile flowers I know are for me the indicator that I have to run to the sea.
That's why we have always been looking forward to the beginning of June to see the sea. The fields on the road were red because of the poppies and this image remained imprinted in my brain (did anyone say brain?).
Did anyone say sea? My great passion, the sea. Blue! Perhaps this is why I love this color. So, after the red of the poppies comes, naturally, the blue.
The blue of the sea! Although most of my life I've been to ... the Black Sea, it was all blue. The blue sea and the yellow sun. I also found this combination on the small field.
All these flowers, marvelous flower in a field (which I fear will end soon to be made parking). A field near a mall under construction.
On one side, the outskirts of the city ...
On the other side, the edge of the mall ...
Flowers in the middle. Many flowers. Raised alone, uncared for by someone. The beauty of the so-called wildflowers (why wild? I don't know if they bit anyone!).
I like gardening, I have a small yard full of flowers. Only I know how much I work to take care of the plants and even so, many get sick, die, or no longer bloom. Many problems.
In the field, however, all the flowers are very healthy, flowering, and varied. Many flowers I do not know, like these bells.
I remember the astronomer Carl Sagan, I saw his series Cosmos in my youth. In this film, Sagan imagined an alien spaceship-shaped dandelion fluff. Now I found his ship in my field.
Down in the grass, other little flowering wonders live their plant life not knowing that maybe next year there will be asphalt on the place where they grow now. Because the city is expanding and swallowing everything.
Still, with my eyes on the ground, I forgot about the sky.
Threatening clouds have gathered imperceptibly and rain can come at any time. So the beautiful walk near the city ended.
It was a little piece of Sunday for #beautifulsunday by @ace108
Sunday is not only beautiful (most of the time), it must also have something special. In general, something special is something rare. My special is almost every day and her name is Ilinca.
Ilinca is 18 months old and discovers the world while I discover the childhood, thanks to her.
She learns everything very quickly. For example, she has already learned how to attract little boys (of her age)!
It only takes a few more years and she will read on her T-shirt what her power is.
Love Is Our Power
No matter how hard it is, any Sunday with Ilinca can only be sublime!
