Another walk through our favorite park, which is also the biggest, best known, and most beautiful in the city. It is the park where I walk weekly and being a recurring walk, it means it is repeated and I have told many stories about it. I can't help it, I have to write again.
What is different is that I try every time not to repeat myself, even if I walk the same alleys because I have a favorite route. It's the longest route and it helps me cover 4 km every walk.
Every walk is about relaxing, breathing air that feels cleaner than in the city. I walk because I feel like I'm in nature and for a few hours I forget about the city, cars, dust, pollution, and noise, that is to say, some of the "benefits" that the city generously offers.
Now I want to show you some views from the park that make me forget the city...
The lakeshore and the reflecting trees remind me of a few fishing trips in the Danube Delta. In my youth, I loved to fish and was always looking for shady and hidden spots.
The small boats crossing the lake and kayakers also take me to the Danube Delta... of course, keeping the proportions. I'm glad it helps me remember those past trips. My memory behaves this way, I don't remember many of the past impressions but one image is enough to unearth all the memories.
The park was set up almost a hundred years ago in a forest on the outskirts of the city. Many trees from that forest remain and the sight of them makes me feel like I am in a real forest and not in a park that has now been incorporated into the city.
The park is adjacent to the largest outdoor museum, the Village Museum. This makes the exhibits (peasant houses and churches) visible from the park, creating the impression that we are in the country. Of course, other memories are triggered!
However, once in the more open areas and with a view further afield, the signs of the city appear and the awakening to reality happens suddenly. But I'm grateful that this place brings back, time and time again, memories of times when I was truly in the middle of nature.
Some of the reasons I love walking through this park, which I don't think I'll ever get bored of and the walks will be repeated as long as my feet help me get there!
