This winter was different from last winter, which, in turn, was different from the winter two years ago. Anyone can say they can't be identical because they're not cloned, but that's not what I meant. What I meant was that there were appreciable and easily noticeable differences.

Winter lasts for three months: December, January, and February. The difference, as I mentioned above, is when it snows. In other words, it snows at the beginning, middle, or end of winter, as it did this year, just these days.

Normal is as it was many years ago, in my childhood, when it was snowing almost all the time and snow was present all winter.

Even though winter lasts three months, there is only snow for a few days, a week at most. At the moment, I live this week, at the end, when the snow melts. Spring begins in March!

Winter in my city is not attractive, mainly because the snow is no longer white. What little snow we get now is immediately soiled by pollution.

Fortunately, Bucharest has many parks. These parks save winter, and in fact, they save the beauty of winter.

In winter, most children are in the parks, where they sled. The parks are the only places where they can still enjoy this sport.

There is no more time to rest on the park benches. Everyone is there only for the snow to walk in and the children to play.

Those who read my post yesterday, Winter In The Park, will notice, for sure, that I used the same photos from that post, then in black and white and here in color.

I chose to make this association so that when I post in black and white, I will use the same black-and-white photos in the next one, but in color.

It's a real challenge, which I hope I have passed, that on the same skeleton of the blog, which are the photos, I manage to develop another story, another version, different, as much as possible, from the previous one!

Children, dogs, men, and women, young and old, choose to enjoy the most beautiful part of winter in this place.
I am among them, and I enjoy the photos I can take because they are more interested in the snow than noticing someone using a camera.

I didn't mention the park's inhabitants, such as small animals and birds that live by the lake. These are the only beings that don't enjoy the winter when it's harder to find food.

The seagulls and wild ducks have retreated onto the lake ice and are watching the commotion around them.

I rely mostly on photos in all my blogs. Words don't help me as much as photos.

I always start with photos when I want to write a blog. Photos remind me of places, events, and feelings that turn into words. When I post in Photography Lovers the words have even less importance, they are a companion to the photos I want to show. This often makes the story uninteresting or common, yet it is necessary; otherwise, the photos would merely be a series of unexciting images.

I make this statement as a plea to those reading not to over-judge the text and to focus on the photos.

A wise saying goes that a photograph is worth a thousand words, but I don't think so.
It depends on the viewer.

I'm watching you!!
