Today I would like to share my knowledge on repairing computers. This is an HP NB 15-ba030nv with a damaged fan. When we press the power button it says that fan is not working properly and machine shuts down.
You have to order a new fan. I found a new one here in Greece for 17.69 CPU Cooling Fan HP 15-ba033nv 15-ba022nv 15-ba023nv 15-ba025nv 15-ba030nv 15-bw019nv 15-da1000~15-da1999 15-da0000~15-da0999 15g-dr1000~15g-dr1999 15g-dr0000~15g-dr0999
When you disassembly the NB and fan it is sure that you have to clean the dust.
Let’s take it step by step. First make sure that the power is closed and the power cord is off. Take off battery. Then start to unscrew all the screws at the bottom of the NB. There are 10 screws. You will see the 2 of them when you take off the battery.
There are 2 of them under rubber feet. You can see that at the next picture. Once you take off all the screws you have to take off the CD-RW. It is easy. All you have to do is just pull it out.
After that you can take out the bottom plastic. You have to use something sharp to gently take it out little by little
Now can see how it is inside. You can see the fan, HDD and Ram. The same way you can add Ram or replace HDD with an SSD. If you replace HDD with an SSD you have to make a backup of all your files first. It’s always a good idea to have a backup of your files. You never know when something wrong will happen.
Now you have to take off 3 screws from the fan. After that you can take off the fan power jack and your fan is ready to take it off. Now it’s a good time to clean the cpu heater. Almost all the NB I have repaired have so dust at this place that it is blocking air flow and the heat is rizing.
Now just place your new Fan and screw it. Place the power jack again. You can a power on without the bottom plastic just to be 100% sure before you put everything else again in place.
If everything is ok you can now put the bottom plastic and screw it. Make sure that the NB is closed and out of the power. Place the CD-RW and screw that one too. Put the battery again and you ready for final test.
