Greetings to GU community,
I have been playing this Death deck recently, and it was really good! Over 1,000 games were played by this deck, and I currently have a 65% Win rate with it. With this deck I was able to get to Solar Gold from Twilight Shadow.
With this deck I was able to beat some pretty nasty decks like Aggro War and Food Chain.
Also, in this weekend ranked, I am currently 11/16 and secured three ToF packs. If I win 2 games I would get another Fate pack, but I'm not sure that I can get it.
This deck relies on strong Afterlife effects. If you are lucky, you could deal heavy damage to their god and win around 5~6 mana, if you get the right cards.
Blackfire Fledging and Omenseed are the main damage for this deck. Blackfire deals 3 damage to their god and the weakest creature. Dealing 3 damage to their creature often makes a 2 to 1 trade, or even 3 to 1 if you can trigger the afterlife again. Omenseed is another strong creature that summons another 4/1 after it dies. If they do not have 1 damage removal, it could be tricky to remove.
Bombfly deals 3 damage to each god. However, I don't really want it in my starting hand because it deals damage to me and it is not a dragon.
There are multiple ways to trigger the afterlifes multiple times. Spirit storm triggers the afterlife effect of your creatures. If you have a winning board with multiple Blackfire Fledglings/Omenseeds, this card could be really brutal.
Canopic Hoarder is also another way of triggering the afterlifes. With 2 Blackfire Hatchlings you can deal 6 damage to their god and to their creatures. Even if you don't have Blackfire Hatchling, you would still have other creatures with Afterlife.
Voidwatch Serpent could be used as another copy of blackfire Fledgling/Omenseed if there is only one dragon in the void. You need to be aware that Deepwater Whelp is also a dragon and if you already played it, there is a chance you get a dragon instead. Living container destroys the creature and summons it again with buffs, which means the creature's afterlife would be triggered twice. It doesn't work with Spirit Storm though.
I'm mulliganing for Blackfire Fledgling and Omenseed. Since I'm against Zoo War, I try to find removals. I remove their Woodcutter Imp.
I play Blackfire Fledgling. My opponent responds with Vanguard Axewomen and Trial Spirit.
I play Omenseed and also pips GP. This gives burn +1 to the enemy creature which should reduce some damage.
Grand Hall heals their opponent but with Bad luck, I Destroy their 5/1 and also gives burn +1 to it.
Unfortunately I can't clear Cunnign challenger. I play Voidwatch Serpent and uses Perseverance to deal damage and heal. Cunning challenger unfortunately gains twin strike so I get 4 more damage.
White fur guard is easily taken out with 2 creatures. I use Glinn to draw 2 dragons.
Another White fur guard! I trade a zombie and 5/5 to it whih is not great but it still saves me from 5 more damage.
I tarde the 2/1 to their 5/2. I still has lower health than them so I can't use Dangerous Ritual yet. It is going to be good when I'm winning though.
Bad Luck allows me to make nice removal with Blight bomb. I take The Trial Begins from the Sanctum and uses it to get Canopic Hoarder.
They play nothing and it's GG!
This deck could be tricky to use when you first try it. Unfortunately Gleamweaver in the sanctum makes this deck a little bit worse but, with the right cards it could make a lot of damage, so if you can master this deck I think it is going to be really good.
