A little word play here as we will examine a low mana strategy I have been using in bronze and low silver with good success. The strategy entails venari heatsmith and loading up with sneak monsters in the back for the fire team. The strategy works best in mana matchups of (12-17). The following is the team set up with fill ins of one mana meat shields depending on mana cost.
Venari Heatsmith
I really like void armor as an ability as it protects against all attacks including magic. No matter what matchup I face, the heatsmith is going to absorb six to seven tank damage no matter what. His speed being at three also makes for a low but possible dodge chance on ranged or melee attack monsters.
Uraeus
2 Sneak damage for three mana is a great bargain and a monster I tend to play all the time. The one shield is also perfect to protect against fellow sneak monsters my opponent might play.
Tenyi Striker
2 sneak damage with five health is another good bargain at five mana and his high speed makes for a minimal miss chance against the all powerful regal peryton that is the bane of my existence sometimes.
Kobold Miner
2 sneak damage with tarsa buff at two mana is another great monster to have to add to the all sneak team. The low speed of two leaves a little to be desired but that is the chance you take with the RNG at times.
All combined with the tarsa melee buff, you have eight sneak damage on this team. That usually eats through any monsters in the backline especially the magic healer on green or the pesky regal peryton.

Round 1
My opponent liked to play alric alot as I saw in the pre-match upload. Expecting this play again I decided to use my sneaky heatsmith play. The mana is a little high for what I usually play it in but figured the heatsmith was the best tank to allow for me to get all my sneak damage in. I will be honest and say my opponent's strategy is not great as I am not sure what he was planning to do here. With water, fire, and death you have to expect a sneak play of some kind and he put all his damage dealers in the backline for me to pick off. Let us see it play out.
Round 2
My heatmsith has done the job and sustained the magic hits from my opponent's backline. My sneak attack in the back has picked off his one healer and is aiming for the wavesmith. The shields would usually be a problem however with three sneak monsters this is not an issue. That is the benefit of dealing damage all in one area.
Round 3
We see at the beginning of this round that the match is over. He has no damage dealers left and I will pick off the rest of his monsters before focusing fire on his almo. Easy win here for the sneaky heatsmith strategy.
