If life is a train moving along its tracks, you get to see people exactly as they are in life, right inside it.

The people on the train each started their day differently. Each came with different motivations, thoughts, and goals, and now, to reach a station, they have been placed next to each other for a while.

Just like a small colony from a big world...

Each of us came from somewhere, we are meant to reach somewhere, and in between, our paths cross with many people. We know some, some remain strangers to us, we share the path with some, and we leave some behind without even realizing it.

But what fascinates me is the events that happen along this path.

For a few moments, the conditions become the same for everyone. Everyone is in a shared shake, in a brief darkness, in an event that perhaps each experiences differently.

And then the lights turn on again, and the path continues.

We may never know where the people sitting next to us came from, what they left behind, or where they are going to get off. We might not even know what impact their brief presence had on our path.

But for a while, we were all part of a shared journey... a journey called life...

The photos were taken on the subway a few years ago.
