I'm guessing the biggest impact will come on the voting patterns of bots more than users. And it may not come quickly, as the bots don't have a strong incentive to change their algorithm, they just have more freedom to do so.
But even if there is no major change in voting behavior for a while, there will be an instant "fairness" effect, where manual voters will compete more evenly with bots, and that has long term effects on rewards distribution (which will also remove the incentive to use a bot to vote instead of manually voting).
One concern I've started to have lately is that the "average of 10 votes per day" to achieve maximum curation rewards is still going to act as an incentive for some to continue using voting bots, if they just want to casually curate (as a casual voter, it's a bit of a struggle for me, for example). So I've been wondering if we shouldn't drop it to something more manageable like "average of 5 votes per day" on the next hardfork. Just don't tell transisto or we'll never hear the end of it :-)
