Mana Cap : 99
Rules of Battle :
Holy Protection: All monsters have the divine shield ability.
Earthquake: Non-Flying monsters take 2 melee damage at the end of each round.
Dragons are flying creatures and are normally perfect for an earthquake ruled match, however my silver level deck does not contain any flying dragons. Luckily for the dragon type we can match it with cards from another deck. I choose water as they have great flying monsters. That is what makes the dragon type ideal for me.
Summoner:
The new weekly challenge was a great opportunity to rent the new legendary summoner Quix the Devious and try him out for the first time.
First position:
Even better I got to combine it with my lower level carry Djinn Chwala, the dragon that has won me many battles already. I choose Djinn Chwala because her thorns could do some useful damage.
Second position:
As Djinn Chwala's task was to soak up as much damage as possible in a short time, the second position had to be another tank. Here I combined a flying type with a secondary tank. The Gargoya Lion.
Third position:
Exactly why I went for the combination of dragon with water. A strong sneak attack flying monster. Great for chipping away some damage on enemy targets without getting hit by earthquake itself.
Fourth position:
One of my favorite water type cards. The Ice Pixie. Low cost, high speed and some cheecky magic damage including again flying.
Fifth position:
More of a flying fill in card. Not a high damage dealer but able to avoid the earthquake damage.
Sixth position:
Another flying card that is able to do damage with ranged. Also has a shield to soak up some damage. A good option in the last position, because of his close range.
Strategy
It looks like my initial strategy worked. Their first two damage dealers will have their hp and shields lowered by the thorns of Djinn Chwala. The Pelacor Bandit will be slowly hammering away on his backline he thought was safe from the earthquake. And my other monsters will be dealing damage without taking many other than the opportunity attacks.
