We're working on a mining solution that uses games as a proof of work system To pay its players. While securing transactions on the network. Take in mind that this is a rough draft of the white paper, let us know in the comments if you woupd like to change your job to professional mobile gamer.

Proposed is a system that will facilitate Decentralized mining of a blockchain based network focusing on mobile devices with minimal computing power as the most suitable mining hardware. by implementing a network where random geocache locations are made discoverable within the real world using open source software it is possible to decentralize the network and prevent the pooling of mining equipment and thus eliminating centralized control of the network.

Mining process: The process of mining will be carried out as follows, according to the location of miners, multiple “block Points” will be broadcast any miner arriving at the location will be alerted to the discovery of a nearby block, after accepting the block the miner will complete a set of tasks, at the moment a simple step count will be implemented, requiring the miner to walk a certain distance or reach a certain location in order to successfully mine the block and provide the proof of work needed. By allowing for groups to mine it is possible to validate that a miner is not trying to deceive the network with a falsified gps location, this can be achieved by using a peer to peer network that validates the other users in proximity to the location. If a user is unable to connect to another user then it can be assumed that they are not in the actual location and will not be included in the mining of the block. When using this method of group mining it will split the rewards based on the level of participation in completing the mining task.

Further development of this method will see a more elaborate method of mining which would ideally involve a massive online multiplayer structure and is comparable to a “raid” or group battle against the “block” that is being mined and group participation will have an immediate effect on the rewards received by the miner.

This method of mining is not meant to be available to a single service but as an open source network for many services where others can use the backend infrastructure for any token/coin that is created meaning that multiple types of transactions can be written to the network from many types of tokens that choose to use geocache locations as the basis of their network mining strategy as more devices and services enter the network it will allow for a secure decentralized blockchain that eliminates the initial cost when developing a secure network by removing the cost of hardware.

The randomness of the geocache locations provides a level of security that is hard to overthrow, adding a step count to this and it requires a mobile peer to peer method that is not only hard to deceive but affordable to participate in. with the final addition of game mechanics it will allow for a third layer of complexity when hashing a solution that provides an efficient proof of work method to ensure that the overall network security is maintained as well as a platform for developing mobile based software.

“block Points” will allow for a real world gathering point for users of multiple mobile apps raising awareness of other apps that the user can install that are either appealing to them or that could offer a profitable source of mining if they were to participate in it. Ideally a single user would reach a geocache location and be capable of mining multiple cryptocurrencies at a time by participating in the completion of multiple tasks set by the individual assets/apps.

Phase 1

Phase one is dedicated to raising the funds to develop the necessary software and create a prototype of the network. During this phase we hope to:

Develop the geocache network that will produce “block points” in a fair and equal manner so that all participants are capable of contributing, as well as receiving rewards for being part of the network.

Develop a free to own app allowing users to connect to the network and participate in mining.

Develop an open sourced platform for the development of other tokens that can be built on top of the network and utilize the real world “block points” to create event instances within their services and apps that can also incentivize participation.

Phase 2

Phase two’s main goal is to increase participation by allowing a subchain clone of the parent blockchain to be widely distributed with a focus on the creation of a localized geocache that would act similar to hubs and resemble Ethereums “tokens” an example of this could be a comic store that allows participants to mine “block points” while in their shop after these transactions are mined it would represent a single transaction that can then be collected by the parent chain into a global “Block Point” to be mined by the main network. The comic shop may pay (ideally this would be free) to be a “block point” for a mobile game such as a magic the gathering mobile card game. The comic book store would benefit by the extra exposure to what would arguably be a marketable demographic for their business. The app would benefit by having a location that miners/users would need to reach in order to participate in an in-game event. The network would then have extra participants in the global geocache blockchain that would help to verify transactions of any cryptocurrency that participates on the network.

The participants in the mining of this new “Block Point” would receive transaction fees for the subchain ( card game app) as well as a percentage of the parent chains block rewards (main network). This allows for an easy method of scaling to be achieved as the parent chain increases as well as the overall price to be part of the network, smaller hubs can provide an inexpensive method to receive the same security for smaller computing needs.

Phase 3

Phase three’s main goal is to further develop the user interface of the network with a peer-to-peer based platform where apps and games across all platforms can create games or apps that can utilize a geocache “block Point” method of mining such as a pVp battle system. This could range from poker tournaments, card games, Augmented reality, virtual reality, Mmo rpg’s, or boundless other group games that can be played both locally as well as globally. Such an instance of this would be a cross platform system using peer-to-peer devices that receive verify and transmit the data. By installing the game/app on a mobile phone or even a stationary device it allows for users to participate much like a full node that contains all of the data currently available within the game/app such as individual player stats user interface, event locations, and many other key aspects but most importantly it allows app/game users to mine transactions only for the apps/games that they have installed

The Big Picture

Sometimes it is hard to see what an idea can become when it has not already been fully deployed. The big picture of this system is to use the appeal of multi player games to distribute a widespread secure network where cryptocurrencies are capable of merging with the already immense adoption of the gaming community. One such instance of such a network is that of pokemon go. Imagine if the user interface of pokemon go was powered by the backend network security of a blockchain network where every raid, pokemon battle or poke-stop was a form of proof of work for the network where the rewards were actually tokens stored in a wallet address. Meaning that a user that captured a pokemon or completed a raid would not only receive an in game reward but also a real world reward representing a portion of the mining fees of the global blockchain network that could be traded for any other cryptocurrency on an exchange, what if the exchange was the game ? and what if the users could essentially be paid to play rather than just free to play. In game transactions would still be available but with a built in secure network that would remove the need for costly time consuming third party verifications. Those that wish to spend money will pay other users rather than a payment service.

Why does this matter?

Billions of people in the world already play games every day why not create a decentralized network that can utilize this asset as a globally decentralized network with built in scalability where both the miners and network participants are capable of benefiting? The user interface is the game the server/network is the blockchain ecosystem that we are proposing to build.
