Our people will say "Advice is never a curse". It is very easy to give advice, but sometimes it is hard to take advice that is why most people encounter a lot of problems in life because they refused to take the advice given to them, especially the young ones, they see advice as a curse and would want to follow what they feel is best for them, but don't know it will lead to several mistakes.
For everyone who have achieved something great you must have listened and followed some advice that have guided your way to the top. Each of us have that one BEST WORD OF ADVICE that has been guiding and keeping us going in life.
When it comes to who have given me the best word of advice, my Dad is my number one special adviser of all time, when ever he advises me he must end by saying "a word is enough for the wise" that is what brought about the title of this post. One of his advice that sticked to my is "Change what you can change and leave what you cannot change", a word is enough for the wise".
Change what you can change and leave what you cannot change.
This is one of my best advice, at first I never understood it, but when I started understanding what it means everything became easy. People usually fight for things they cannot change, You wishing you hadn't made that mistakes and overthinking is useless because you can never go back to erase the mistake already done, let by gone be by gone, move forward and focus on the the future you can alter by actions today.
When I suffered from first heartbreak it was not easy for me, I was filled with all kinds of regret, everyday I wished it never happened, after all I sacrificed to make it work but it didn't, it was eaten me up but I didn't know, life became stagnant for me and I felt like giving up, this continued to happen until I remembered what my father told me "change what you can and leave what you cannot change". This gave me strength and I moved on, since then I never allowed what I cannot change affect me.
That is how you should live, life is too short to bother about the little you cannot change when there are a lot of things you can change.
