Intruder and Dogs

Paul woke up one morning after being drunk at a night party and heard a strange noise in the compound. He knew that he was the only one in his entire compound at that moment. Peering through the dark window, he saw a man jumping into his compound with a gun. He rubbed his eyes to check if it was a dream, but then suddenly another person attempted to jump over the wall into the compound. Mr. John's pitbull dogs went after the intruders. One of the dogs attacked the person trying to jump in, and the man was killed by the dog. The dog locked its teeth into the man's neck while the second criminal shot the other dog and later killed the other dog.

After the death of the second criminal, the surviving criminal tried to enter Paul's apartment but failed. Paul immediately dialed the police and said, "Please, I am besieged by armed robbers; I need your help." The police replied, "Location, please." Paul responded, "28 Adama road." Throughout this time, Paul was still watching through the dark window.

After twenty minutes, the criminals heard the police sirens and jumped over the wall, escaping without the dead colleague. The police arrived and found Mr. Paul, the dead man, and the dead dogs.

After a short interrogation with Mr. Paul, the police took him, the dead man, and the two dead dogs to the police station. Mr. Paul was detained for further interrogation, and the dead criminal and the dog were taken for autopsy. However, since there was no evidence to prove Mr. Paul's innocence regarding the murder of the criminal, he was charged to court.

During the court hearing, the judge asked, "Mr. Paul, are you guilty or not guilty?" and he responded, "Not guilty." The prosecutor then asked, "Paul, why did you kill your dogs and the deceased man?"

Paul replied, "I watched through the window as my dog
killed the man, and his accomplice killed my dogs and fled at the sound of the police siren."

The judge ordered that Mr. Paul be detained until further investigation. In the detention room, Mr. Paul's lawyer met with him and requested to know the whole story. The lawyer said, "Tell me everything." So Mr. Paul narrated the entire story to his lawyer, who replied, "Paul, you are innocent, but there is no evidence yet. With my support, the evidence will be produced." The police and the lawyer worked on forensic analysis of the bullets retrieved from the shot dogs, which eventually led them to trace the bullets back to a military source.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Mr. Paul and two military officers had struck a deal with a Chinese company. The company paid three hundred and fifty million naira into Mr. Paul's account, and Mr. Paul was supposed to give five million naira each to the two military officers.

Mr. Paul owned a mining company that dealt with mineral resources, and the two officers planned to kidnap him with the intention of killing him after obtaining a ransom. However, the dogs and the police foiled their plan.

The end.
