A team of European explorers embarked on a voyage to the African shore. While sailing through the Atlantic Ocean towards the West African coast, their boat collided with a rock, causing it to break. Fortunately, the boat ended up landing in a harbor on an island, and everyone on board survived. However, what the team witnessed and heard in the harbor deeply affected them mentally.
"Hey, Johnny, what sound was that?" Captain Ben asked, seeking clarification. Johnny, understanding the impact of the collision, couldn't respond immediately. After a minute, he finally said, "It hit a rock. The boat's V-shaped hull broke, and the propulsion system was damaged. The blades stopped but were making a terrible noise. Then the security alarm started ringing throughout the boat." Johnny was the foreman of the boat. When he looked at the captain's face, he noticed it had turned red-hot, and the captain had already started running a fever. Captain Ben uttered, "Merciful God, save our souls."
Meanwhile, all the team members were confused and in a state of frantic movement. In an attempt to restore calmness, the captain shouted, "Everyone should calm down, and I will briefly explain the situation." Captain Ben explained, "The boat hit a rock, and the propulsion system is damaged. In the next 18 minutes, the boat will anchor in a harbor." Dr. Bush, the leader of the exploration, was already feeling depressed. He wasn't certain whether the boat would reach the harbor within the next 18 minutes. Driven by panic upon hearing that the boat might run aground and many might not survive, he hastily reached into his pocket, pulled out his cardiac pills, and consumed some. Dr. Bush was a cardiac patient who never missed taking his medication. Following the phrase "running aground" and his plea, "Merciful God, save my soul," a brief silence fell over the boat. Then, widespread fear, panic, and depression set in, as if all hope was lost, due to the uncertainty of reaching the harbor on time. During this time, a shipwide safety announcement was broadcasted, instructing everyone to wear life jackets.
The captain instructed the helmsman, "Adjust and navigate southwest." All eyes were fixed on the boat's direction, and after 13 minutes, the safe harbor came into view for everyone. The boat reached the harbor within 17 minutes, prompting the captain to order everyone to disembark. As the team members left the boat, the crew members simultaneously anchored it. Once everyone had left, except for the captain and the foreman, the captain glanced at the camp and noticed strange behavior among the team members. He asked Johnny, "What's happening?" Johnny replied, "It seems they are reacting to invisible forces." The captain suggested, "Let's go and investigate." In the camp, some individuals were closing their eyes with their hands, while others were attempting to cover their ears. As the captain and Johnny approached, Johnny remarked, "I see some apparitions." The captain responded, "I hear the cries of people as if a massacre is taking place here." Johnny added, "It seems they exist here, but..." Some team members began shooting sporadically in the open, but to no avail. The captain shouted, "Please stop! They are souls of the deceased." This declaration triggered another wave of fear and panic among the team members, as many struggled to comprehend the situation.
These inexplicable events continued for approximately 30 minutes, after which the captain ordered the team to leave that area and relocate to another place.
These events were taking place at around 2 am. Then, at around 4:30 am, the team spotted some fishermen paddling a canoe and stopped them.
The captain then realized that they could understand English. He explained their situation to them and demanded that they clarify the invisible events happening at the harbor. The captain said, "Please explain to us what is happening at the harbor that we cannot see."
A tall man with no hair responded, "It all started during the time of the slave trade. The harbor was used to house slaves before they were shipped to Europe and America. The commotion and gunshots you heard were a result of a slave rebellion, which led their masters to lock them up and kill some of them."
Prior to this, the captain had already informed a rescue team abroad about their predicament. Eventually, the rescue team arrived in a jet and evacuated them.
