အျမင္သစ္
There was a very wealthy man who was bothered by severe eye pain.
တစ္ခါတုန္းက မ်က္လံုးနာက်င္ျခင္းေဝဒနာကို ဆိုးဆိုးရြားရြား ခံစားေနရတဲ့ သူေဌးႀကီးတစ္ဦးရွိတယ္ကြဲ႕။
He consulted many physicians and was being treated by several.
သူဟာ သမားေတာ္ႀကီးမ်ားစြာနဲ႔ ျပသၿပီး ကုသမႈခံယူေနရတာေပါ့။
He did not stop consulting a galaxy of medical experts; he consumed heavy loads of drugs and underwent hundreds of injections.
သူဟာ ေဆးပညာရွင္ေတြအေျမာက္အျမားထံမွာ ကုသမႈဆက္တိုက္ခံယူေနကာ၊ ေဆးေတြလည္း အမ်ားႀကီးေသာက္ရ၊ အႀကိမ္ေပါင္းမ်ားစြာ ေဆးထိုးခံရနဲ႔ေပါ့ကြယ္။
But the ache persisted with more vigor than before.
ဒါေပမဲ့လည္း ကိုက္ခဲတာဟာ မေပ်ာက္ဘဲ အရင္ထက္သာ ပိုဆိုးလာသတဲ့ေလ။
At last, a monk who was supposed to be an expert in treating such patients was called for by the suffering man.
ေနာက္ဆံုးေတာ့ ဒီလိုလူနာေတြကို ကုသရာမွာ အလြန္ေတာ္တယ္လို႔ေျပာၾကတဲ့ ရဟန္းတစ္ပါးကို သူ ပင့္ဖိတ္ေလတယ္။
The monk understood his problem and said that for some time he should concentrate only on green colors and not to let his eyes fall on any other colors.
ရဟန္းဟာ ဒီလူဘာျဖစ္တယ္ဆိုတာကို သိနားလည္လို႔ ခုေလာေလာဆယ္မွာ လူနာဟာ အစိမ္းေရာင္ေတြကိုသာ အဓိကထားၾကည့္ရမယ္၊ သူ႔ရဲ႕မ်က္လံုးေတြ တျခားအေရာင္ေတြကို မၾကည့္မိပါေစနဲ႔လို႔ မိန္႔မွာသတဲ့။

ဒီေဆးၫႊန္းဟာ ဆန္းေနေပမဲ့ သူဟာ အသည္းအသန္ေပ်ာက္ခ်င္ေနတာမို႔ စမ္းၾကည့္မယ္လို႔ ဆံုးျဖတ္လိုက္တယ္။
The millionaire got together a group of painters and purchased barrels of green paint and directed that every object his eyes were likely to fall to be painted green just as the monk had directed.
သန္းႂကြယ္သူေဌးႀကီးဟာ ေဆးသုတ္သမားေတြကိုေခၚ၊ အစိမ္းေရာင္ေဆး ပီပါေတြအမ်ားႀကီးဝယ္ၿပီး၊ ရဟန္းမွၫႊန္ၾကားထားတဲ့အတိုင္း သူ႔မ်က္စိနဲ႔ျမင္ေတြ႕ႏိုင္ေလာက္မဲ့ ပစၥည္းမွန္သမွ်ကို အစိမ္းေရာင္ေဆးသုတ္ခိုင္းေလတယ္။
When the monk came to visit him after few days, the millionaire's servants ran with buckets of green paint to pour it on him since he was in red robe, lest their master see any other color and his eye ache would come back.
ရက္အနည္းငယ္အၾကာ ရဟန္းက သူ႔ဆီကိုႂကြလာေတာ့ သန္းႂကြယ္သူေဌးႀကီးရဲ႕ အေစခံေတြဟာ သကၤန္းအနီရံုထားတဲ့ ရဟန္းေပၚကိုေလာင္းခ်ရေအာင္ အစိမ္းေရာင္ ေဆးပံုးေတြနဲ႔ အေျပးသြားၾကသတဲ့။ သူတို႔ရဲ႕ သူေဌးႀကီး အျခားအေရာင္ေတြကိုၾကည့္မိရင္ မ်က္လံုးကိုက္ခဲတဲ့ ေဝဒနာျပန္ျဖစ္မွာကို စိုးရိမ္ၾကလို႔တဲ့ကြယ္။
Hearing this, the monk laughed and said "If only you had purchased a pair of green spectacles, worth just a few dollars, you could have saved these walls and trees and pots and all other articles and also could have saved a large share of your fortune. You cannot paint the world green."
အဲဒါကိုၾကားေတာ့ ရဟန္းက ရယ္ေမာၿပီး မိန္႔လိုက္တာက "ေဒၚလာနည္းနည္းေလးေပးရတဲ့ မ်က္မွန္စိမ္းတစ္လက္သာ ဒကာႀကီးဝယ္ခဲ့လိုက္ရင္ ဒီနံရံေတြ၊ သစ္ပင္ေတြ၊ အိုးေတြနဲ႔ အျခားပစၥည္းေတြအားလံုး ဘာမွပ်က္စီးကုန္မွာမဟုတ္ဘူး၊ ပိုက္ဆံေတြအမ်ားႀကီးလည္း ဒီလိုဆံုးရွံုးမွာ မဟုတ္ဘူးကြဲ႕။ ဒကာႀကီးရယ္ ကမ႓ာႀကီးကို အစိမ္းေရာင္ေဆးသုတ္ေပးလို႔ ဘယ္ရႏိုင္ပါ့မလဲ" တဲ့ကြယ္။
သားတို႔ သမီးတို႔လည္း ဒီပံုျပင္ေလးကို ဖတ္ၿပီးတဲ့အခါမွာ ကိစၥေတာ္ေတာ္မ်ားမ်ားကို ျဖတ္ထိုးဉာဏ္သံုးၿပီး စဥ္းစားေျဖရွင္းတတ္ဖို႔လိုတာကို ဆင္ျခင္ၾကည့္ႏိုင္ၾကပါေစလို႔....ကမ႓ာႀကီးကို အစိမ္းေရာင္သုတ္မဲ့ ဒကာႀကီးလိုမျဖစ္ေစဖို႔ေပါ့ကြယ္။
