Snowfall in Jerusalem is very rare. It occurs ones in two-three years and snow is quickly melting.
Every time a forecast states there is a possibility to snow in Jerusalem, I was heading towards small grove in northern Jerusalem hoping to photograph gazelles in snow. There is a population of mountain gazelles in this area and with some luck they can be spotted. Since Israel is evergreen country, snowfall leads to an immediate collapse on roads so I had to arrive in advance, as soon as hearing about probability of snow.
All this paid off in January 2015. As soon as snow began gazelles appeared and I managed to capture images I've dreamt about for long time!
