Last Man Standing Results Week 1 . Fixtures for Week 2

Welcome to the end of Week 1 on Football on Hives Last Man Standing contest. The best contest on Hive bar none. Week 1 was hard enough to predict as @amirtheawesome1 had predicted. We have a few heavy hitters fall down but some wise old sages of the Last Man Standing phenomenon know what happens in week 1 by now so I think they took a calculated risk in the first week but more on that later.

Summary

Wow just wow. It was an easy week and 13 of you still managed to mess it up. 11 of you went for Liverpool and for a moment there I expected a draw but who else other than Chiesa to come up with the cuts and Salah with the killer blow. Tottenham the European Champions won their first day of the season with two great goals by Richarlison.
I think the hero of this week os @nathan007 who despite the doubters selected his own team Leeds against Everton and got over the line with a 1-0 win. Everton have had a disaster in pre season and Moyes is not a happy camper saying at one stage he wanted 7 new players. Yet our friend @belemo went for them this week which is questionable. He is a wiley old dog this guy and somethings up his sleeve.

@racibo , you bet against the League champions with Bournemouth so I was saying goodbye to you as soon as you commented.
Chelsea surprised a few by not getting over the line themselves against Crystal Palace which was interesting.
@seki1 picked Chelsea so I shall have no more questions about the rules in this tournament.
I was surprised how little Man City were selected. Only vegetarian chicken slayer @deirdyweirdy selected them and her chickens did not come home to roost and she survives another week in the Last Man Standing chicken coup without a pallet in sight. (Read her posts)

We are allowing the 13 people who were eliminated a change to buy back in for 1 Hive if they feel hard done by by Chelsea for example. The rules are you cannot pick your team that you had selected and also the League Champions Liverpool which makes the game harder for the losers of week 1. If you are happy with these stipulations then you are free to buy back in. Just transfer @blanchy 1 hive and you are in

Fixtures Week 2

If you thought last week was tough , this week is very hard. Serial bottlers Arsenal for me. In fairness I'm trying to knock myself out. Results in before Friday at 8pm please. I will tag you as a reminder on Thursday. If you are late you will be automatically chosen Leeds this week with the exception of @nathan007 who will be auto selected Burnley. Point to note I will not take an entry after 8pm Friday for a game on Saturday for the interests of fairness.
