one day, just a day after my girlfriend came back from home with a well spent weekend with her family, she came back with a new phone , a new power bank and the rest.
The next day I think was Tuesday and we were supposed to pay for our textbooks and some handouts. And the deadline was just in few days time and so we planned on paying before they start calling out names of people that haven't pay and so we needed to go withdraw before Friday.
well before we could finish up with our normal daily activities that day, three of our friends came around and so we were having lots of fun and gists. We where all celebrating my best friend's return safe and sound and so that day we were so happy.
Letter we had to accompany our friends a little and then decided to quickly branch the bank to withdraw some funds for both school expenses and provisions. So on our way to the bank it was already getting late and I was kind of suggesting if we could leave it till the next day before we go to the bank since it was already getting late but my friend wouldn't listen and so we embarked on the journey.
When we got to the ATM machine, and finished withdrawing, there were order people on the que after we step away from the crowd, two guys walked pass us so fast and I was like telling my friend I don't trust them if we should not follow that same road but the second option Wich is the second road was something no one will recommend has it was a little bit far compare to the shortcut and so we continued.
My Mount was not sleeping still, I was singing it "I don't like this road" more than 7 times but she was encouraging me with "don't you believe in God?" And so we kept going.
on getting to the middle of the road, Wait.... you can't wait to hear it right??
Well you know it already, the same guys that pass us so fast blocked us and at first, I was thinking maybe they where trying to ask my friend out you know things like that but I didn't understand the movement.
She was with the bag and so they went for her and before we could turn Back, three more guys where at our back draging the bag with my girlfriend. I was souting at her to give them the bag but she was so stubborn and kept graging with them Wich leads them to hitting her with force.
Still they took the bag and ran way right in front of us and that was actually our first experience of thives one on one. Before we could even remember to shout "thives , thives" they have gone so far and people where around but couldn't help us. It's a normal level so I understand.
My friend was crying so hard because they took everything from us. Both our money, phones, ATM cards and our power Banks has well. And the most painful part was that, she just got that phone newly not even a week old and they took it way from her.
I was thinking why I wasn't crying because normally I'm supposed to cry. I was juts so not ok with how everything happened after several warnings been given to us not to follow that road or not to even attempt to withdraw that day.
I didn't know how I will tell my parents of how it all happened and so it when more than a day before I could call them because definitely I know they will be so worried when they try calling my line for two complete days without a response from me.
That night was full of nightmares, I couldn't sleep well. My friend won't stop crying even in the next day...
Well lucky enough we both received funds we never expected that very period and it was kind of amazing.
Alot has happened since then but it's a story for another day
