Earning fire, a task of old,
The flames to keep out winter's cold.
Through wind and sleet, the hearth to tend,
And keep the family warm, my friend.

For in the dark and dreary night,
The warmth of fire was a welcome sight.
A place to gather, tell some tales,
To rest from work and shake off ails.

Earning fire, a daily chore,
But oh, the satisfaction, so much more.
For with each log and spark of flame,
A sense of purpose, pride, and claim.

The work of earning fire, you see,
Is more than just a task for me.
It's a symbol of what I can do,
To care for those I love and value.

And so, I'll tend to fire and flame,
And take pride in what I earn and claim.
For with each spark, I'll warm my kin,
And show my love through thick and thin.
