Not necessarily. If you have to pay rent to live somewhere and instead you built a house that costs you much less long term you reduced your liability a lot. Also in many markets your house is worth next

just to be clear, steemit and steemd are completely different sites made by completely different developers and therefore fixes on steemd will not affect any of the bugs on the steemit site, unfortunately.
