So here's something fun to try:
I'm going to print out about 20-30 paper wallets and load some of them with bitcoin.
As long as their parents are cool with it, I'm going to challenge my little cousins to see how many wallets have funds with Blockchain.info wallet and Blockexplorer.com's page.
Whoever finds the most bitcoin wins a prize, in addition to the bits they sweep from the loaded paper wallets.
I'll encourage them to make a Steemit page and share how they've learned about cryptocurrency. They'll most certainly earn some steem in the process. In addition, I will have them go down this:
comprised special for today! I'm pretty confident that this challenge shows them that bitcoin is not something to be afraid of, or confused about. It has a couple links to crypto-exchanges.
Moreover, if they use my referal link for Coinbase to buy, we will both get $10 in free BTC. If possible, I will make a few phone pictures and videos of how it goes today.
By doing this challenge, I've learned a lot myself. For one, it would have been much cheaper to do this activity with an alternative currency, one which charges way lower transaction fees!!! No longer can bitcoin be considered for micro-transactions
What are some other variations? What are the most important things that I left out? I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions, so please do comment. In addition, if you would like me to follow your page, please say so in your comment. Just imagine if everyone on Steemit did this today or even this week.
Thank you all for listening and paying attention to @bitsburgh. Vote, resteem, comment, it all helps us reach our short term goal of 300 followers. Have a glorious Father's Day, take care and God Bless.
