Today I met an old acquaintance, his name is Scarce swallowtail! That it is a kind of butterfly from the family Papilionidae (Lat. Iphiclides podalirius).
I was delighted when I saw him, he landed on the blossoms of the cherry plum whose scent spread all over the place. Surrounded by a large number of diligent bees, he enjoyed his lunch.
This butterfly is one of the biggest butterflies that can be found in the country where I live. The dominant white and black color, as well as its size, are the basic characteristics that are easily recognizable.
An outstanding form of his wings leaves everyone without a word. And I've watched him countless times as he literally sails with an air current.
All the time he was high on the branches and I could not to get closer to him, it doesn't matter, there will be more opportunities during the year.
I hope you like the series of these photos?!
