Only once I saw this beautiful moth. This is a Nine-spotted moth (Lat. Amata phegea) it belongs to family of Erebidae. Before year or two, I don't remember correctly, I saw it first time and now second time in my life.
Like in life everything happening unexpected, I won't say it was an coincidence cause I don't believe in such thing as coincidence or so called spontaneous development of events.
Searching for subjects for my photography I wandered around canal, temperature was so high and I being in doubt whether to give up or not from today's photo hunt. I was so sweat as if someone poured a bucket of water on my head, and besides that I was also so exhausted.
Then I saw it on burdock flower, I don't know why so many insect are so crazy about burdock flower?! Smell of this flower is not so pleasant, there must be some ingredient which attracts all those insects, but enough about burdock, it can be topic of some future post.
As you can see, this moth is basically black with white spots on wings. On direct sun rays If you look closer this black color becomes blue. Also upper spots those closer to his head are more orange color. Torso is also decorated with one thick orange stripe.
Most of moths I saw in my life don't have any attractive appearance, nothing special, but this one belongs to category of very beautiful creatures.
