After yesterday's rain that soaked the earth all night and day, the sun came up today, a day completely windless was almost ideal for walking along the canal. I went for a walk without any expectation that I would see and photograph anything in particular, besides the already standard landscapes, I took photos of people, reflections in the water, etc., I had no idea that I was in for a surprise!
Specifically, a dandelion was seen by a dirt road, with a beautiful yellow butterfly named Pale clouded yellow (Lat. Colias hyale) on it, I came close to it, I got down on my knees and leaned forward almost in full lying position. The ground was still wet, but I didn't mind. The butterfly dined in peace the delicious nectar of the dandelion blossom, it did not bother my presence or the noise the camera made. He rotated through the flower left and right and unconsciously played the role of the ideal model.
In the last week I have seen only three species of butterflies, mostly when there was sunshine like today. When normal weather conditions butterflies disappeared by the end of October, we are now at the beginning of December and it would be normal for snow to fall already, but the weather is more like spring than late autumn. In any case, I used my opportunity to take a photo of the butterfly maybe for a last time this year, I don't know if it might be another opportunity, but that would be too much to expect.
