Comma (Sr. Belo ocilo, Lat. Polygonia c-album) belongs to the family Nymphalidae. This species is orange-brown with black spots, on the underside of the last pair of wings there is a characteristic silver-white pattern in the form of the Cyrillic letter s or Latin letter c, and from there comes its name. My first encounter with this butterfly is only a few weeks ago. I rarely had the opportunity to see him, while in the last days he can be seen very often and everywhere. As you can see on the attached photos, the butterfly has an extremely nice shape of the wing. The fact is that this butterfly belongs to a group of few butterfly species that, as adult individuals, survive a long winter period. Mostly they enter deep into the cavities in the wood, walls, even in the roofs of the houses, so it's possible to get an interesting subtenant over the winter without even knowing it! As with most other butterflies, this is the best and easiest way to get closer while they feeding. The best time to photograph a butterfly is from 10am to 12am and afternoon from 3pm to 5pm, at least my personal experience is so.
